All income generated by the team goes into the High Needs Block Fund. This is to support meeting the Local Authority's responsibilities for children and young people with SEND, set by the Children and Families Act 2014, and for those who need alternative provision (including hospital education).
If you are unsure of what service you require, please liaise with one of the School Safeguarding Advisors for advice.
Whilst you can access centralised training, settings can also book bespoke training to take place at your establishment. If you have a number of staff who require training this may be more cost effective, depending on what your need is.
Whilst most establishments seek safeguarding assurances from the self-reporting s.175 Audit, there may be times where you require an independent service.
You can commission the team to undertake bespoke or full independent safeguarding reviews. One of our School Safeguarding Advisors will come and visit your establishment and conduct a thorough review of the effectiveness of your safeguarding practice, policies and procedures. We will then provide a detailed report for you, highlighting strengths and areas for development.
Ongoing support and guidance will be provided at no extra cost. Dependant on your need, we will attempt to ensure that you are able to access support through our universal offer.
