Child Protection Conferences during the school holidays

It is likely you are notified in the next couple of weeks of any planned Child Protection conferences.

We ask that for Review CP conferences you consider getting these covered if you can– If you have exhausted this the Safeguarding in Education Team can potentially cover:

• Your Headteacher/principal must make the request to the safeguardingineducationteam@bristol.gov.uk
• You must notify the social worker and the Child Protection Conference team that you are making a request to the team.
• You must notify the parent that you will be asking the Safeguarding in Education Team to attend and share a copy of your report.  
• Provide the team with contact details of the parent and the report so we can introduce ourselves before the meeting.

Please consider using the checklist to ensure you have taken appropriate actions.

For Initial CP conferences we will attend automatically where possible.

We will feedback the outcome of the conference, any salient points and dates of future planned meetings.
