This is a half day training course for Prevent/Safeguarding leads at Shaftesbury Park (Dings Crusaders grounds) Frenchay Park Road Frenchay Bristol BS16 1LG with the new Prevent Education Officer for Bristol. 

There are two free Prevent training events (same event twice) coming up over the next few weeks.  There are two options for you to pick from depending on your availability: (To book please click on below links)

The course will outline:

• What it means for Bristol to now be a Home Office priority area for Prevent;
• Details what support is now available directly for schools through the funded posts, training, projects and partnership work;
• You will be given a detailed threat and risk picture for Bristol in 2023 which will inform your risk assessments;
• The Prevent self-assessment toolkit and Prevent risks assessments will be modelled;
• You will have a chance to examine case studies of Prevent referrals in Bristol;
• Good practice of Prevent in the curriculum will be shared with you.

While this course is aimed at DSLs and Prevent leads, it is also appropriate for school leaders.
