This video has been created to aid schools in responding to problematic and
harmful sexual behaviour in children and young people. We have aimed to provide
clear, evidence based guidelines, to build schools confidence in dealing with this
behaviour.
It is emphasised that schools should be part of any programme of work that is
undertaken in order to understand and manage problematic and harmful sexual
behaviours. That said, it is imperative that where there are children or young people
displaying these behaviours, the school follows their local safeguarding procedures
and organisational policies when responding to Harmful Sexual Behaviour, and/or
any other safeguarding concern.
